> Old Dominion lost its seventh-straight game, falling to Florida Atlantic 41-3 last Saturday. The Monarchs dropped to 1-7 on the year. FIU lost at Middle Tennessee 50-17, dropping to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in Conference USA.

> Junior quarterback Messiah deWeaver started for the second-straight game, completing 15-of-29 passes for 134 yards and an interception. The 134 yards is a career-high. 

> Wide receiver Eric Kumah registered career highs in both receptions and yards, catching 10 passes for 99 yards. Of his 10 

catches, seven went for first downs.

> Jordan Young led the defense with a game-high 10 tackles and a tackle for loss. 

> Kaleb Ford-Dement registered a career-best seven tackles and notched his second interception of the season.

Taking the Ball Away
The ODU defense has forced 14 turnovers this season, matching the 2018 season total. The Monarchs have eight interceptions and recovered six fumbles. ODU added two more interceptions against FAU, by Kaleb Ford-Dement and Will Brocchini.

With injuries and inexperience mounting, Old Dominion has started 42 different players so far this season. If it sounds like a lot, it is.  Andrew Lawson, Isaiah Spencer and Will Brocchini started for the first time this year against FAU. Spencer and Brocchini were making their first career starts.

Kaleb Ford-Dement is second in Conference USA in pass breakups and passes defended, and seventh in FBS with 10 pass breakups. 

The 10 pass breakups is the second most in a single-season by an ODU defender. T.J. Cowart and Brandon Addison have the single-

season record with 11.
