RICHMOND, Va. – Members of the Old Dominion men’s tennis team completed competition at the River City Tennis Open in Richmond, Va. at the Collegiate School’s Williams-Bollettieri Tennis Center. In doubles action, Tomislav Podvinski and Luca Maldoner won the A Draw.
Younes Lalami and Nicola Vidal claimed second place in the B Doubles Draw, while Federico Rebecchini and Panos Nearchou turned in a 3rd place finish in the Doubles E Draw.
Joining student-athletes of the ODU tennis team at the River City were Richmond, VCU, Virginia, James Madison, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Campbell, George Mason, College of Charleston, William & Mary, East Carolina, Longwood, Liberty, Appalachian State, Randolph Macon, Bucknell and Charlotte.
In singles play, Podvinski went 3-1, while Lalami, Maldoner and Nerchou went 2-2. Maldoner finished in 4th place in the Singles B Draw, while Nearchou handed in a 10th place finish in the Singles F Draw.
