NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion University volleyball team was recognized during the ODU versus Western Kentucky football game this past Saturday.
The Monarchs will begin NCAA Division I play in the fall of 2020. ODU hired Fred Chao in January as the first coach of the program. Chao was an assistant at Duke, and prior to that was the head men’s volleyball coach at George Mason for 17 years, while coaching as an assistant for the women’s team for seven of those years.
