NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s soccer team (6-2-2, 0-2-0 C-USA) will hit the road for a pair of C-USA matches this week. First on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 7:00 p.m., the Monarchs will square-off against Marshall (3-8-0, 1-2-0 CUSA) at Hoops Family Field in Huntington, W.V., which will stream on C-USA TV. Then on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 2:00 p.m. ET, ODU will take on WKU (6-2-1, 2-0-0 CUSA) at WKU Soccer Complex in Bowling Green, Ky., which will stream on Hilltopper Sports Satellite Network (HSSN) on Facebook.
Old Dominion has outscored its opponents 22-11 for the season. ODU’s defense has only allowed more than one goal in two matches this year. Amanda Nhek leads the Monarchs in points (20), goals (8), assists (4) and game-winners (2). Nhek’s eight goals have come off 11 shots on frame.
Three games into league play, the Thundering Herd have suffered losses to FAU (L, 4-0) and UTEP (L, 3-2), while defeating FIU by a 6-0 score.
The Hilltoppers have picked up Conference USA victories over Southern Miss (W, 1-0 2OT) and LA Tech (W, 2-1 2OT). Western Kentucky will take on Charlotte in Bowling Green this Thursday night, before playing host to Old Dominion.
