NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s soccer team (6-1-2, 0-1-0 C-USA) will look to hand LA Tech (8-0-1, 0-0-0 C-USA) its first loss of the 2019 season on Friday, Sept. 27th at 5:30 p.m. ET at the ODU Soccer Complex.
The Monarchs wrapped up non-conference play last Sunday with a 0-0 draw against Auburn. ODU went undefeated in non-conference play (6-0-2) for the first time since 2006. Old Dominion has outscored its opponents 21-9 for the season. ODU’s defense has only allowed more than one goal in a single match once this year. Amanda Nhek leads the Monarchs in points (18), goals (7), assists (4) and game-winners (2). Nhek’s seven goals have come off nine shots on frame.
The NCAA released its first RPI of the season earlier this week and Old Dominion was ranked No. 77 out of 338 Division I teams. ODU was the second highest ranked program from Conference USA. The United Soccer Coaches Poll has the Monarchs ranked No. 7 for the entire South Region.
