NORFOLK, Va. – Three Tennis Monarchs were nationally ranked in the ITA Preseason Rankings, which were released on Tuesday afternoon. Holly Hutchinson enters the fall season ranked No. 48 for singles, while Hutchinson and teammate Brooke Pilkington are the No. 27 ranked doubles tandem. ODU freshman Shalimar Talbi is the No. 3 ranked Freshman/Newcomer in all of Division I.
In singles, Hutchinson is the second highest ranked singles player from Conference USA. In doubles, Hutchinson and Pilkington are also the second highest ranked doubles team from the C-USA.
Talbi is the highest ranked student-athlete represented by a non-Power 5 school in the Top Freshmen/Newcomers Rankings.
