Dawn Hill was a four-year letterwinner and part of a dynasty which won three NCAA Field Hockey National Championships.

Under the direction of Head Coach Beth Anders, Hill helped lead the Lady Monarchs to NCAA titles in 1982, 1983, and 1984. She was the teams leading scorer with 29 goals in 1985 for Head Coach Melissa Magee as ODU took second in the NCAA Championships. That season, Hill established an NCAA record with six goals in four tournament games.

Hill completed her four-year career at Old Dominion with 45 goals, seven assists and 52 total points. She ranks seventh in career goals and ninth in career points.

In 1985 Hill was named first-team All-American, first-team All South Region and was named to the NCAA All-Tournament squad. The team compiled an 82-9 record during her career.

Hill not only lettered in field hockey, but also led the lacrosse team in scoring with 13 goals in 1983. She also competed in the United States Olympic Festivals in field hockey.

The native of New Castle, De. joins college hockey teammates Cheryl Van Kuren, Diane Bracalente, Yogi Hightower, and Christy Morgan in the ODU Hall Sports of Fame. Hill and Van Kuren were co-captains in 1985.

Hill graduated in 1986 with a degree in Health and Physical Education.
