Anthony ‘AC' Carver completed his career at Old Dominion with 1,958 career points. He hauled in 755 career rebounds and hit 219 career three pointers. In 1990 Carver won the Sun Belt Conference scoring championship at 21.1 per game.

Carver started his career at Old Dominion on a high note as he was named the Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year. That season he averaged 15.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, and was named second team Freshman All-American by BASKETBALL WEEKLY. He followed it up as the league's Sophomore of the Year with 15.0 points and 7.1 rebounds per game average. As a junior, he averaged 20.2 points per game.

Carver was named to the Sun Belt All-Conference team three times, including second team as a sophomore and junior and first team as a senior. As a junior, Carver hit nine three-pointers in a game against George Washington which set both a Sun Belt and Old Dominion mark. He scored a career high 37 points against South Alabama in 1990 and also scored 35 points against VCU in 1989.

As a senior, Carver was the recipient of the Sun Belt Conference's prestigious Jerry D. Young Memorial award which is given to the men's basketball player who best exemplifies sportsmanship, scholarship, leadership and athletic ability. Carver was also a three-time All-South selection by both BASKETBALL WEEKLY and BASKETBALL TIMES. That same year Carver hit at least one three-pointer in 32 straight games.

A native of Elizabeth City, NC., Carver graduated with a degree in criminal justice in May of 1990.
