NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men’s tennis head coach Dominik Mueller announced the complete Monarchs schedule for the upcoming fall and spring seasons on Tuesday afternoon. ODU will host a total of 11 home matches in the spring.
Mueller on the 2019 Fall Schedule:
“We are going to start the fall campaign right out of the gate against three NCAA tournament teams from last season,” explained Mueller. “We decided to challenge our team right away against the best in the country to set the tone for the season.”
Mueller on the 2020 Spring Schedule:
“I think we found a good balance between home and away matches, Power 5 opponents and NCAA tournament teams to prepare us for postseason and hopefully another run at an at-large spot,” Mueller said. “Twelve opponents were nationally ranked at the end of last year, so we will have our hands full every time we step on the court. Our fans can be excited to watch us at home against big names like Nebraska, BYU, SMU and Tulane. I’m especially excited to welcome UTSA to Norfolk since we haven’t had a Conference USA home match in the last two years due to our pod play format.”
