NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s soccer team will kick off the 2019 season at Towson on Aug. 22 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Then on Sunday, Aug. 25 at 6:00 p.m., the Monarchs will host George Mason for their home opener. Sunday will mark ‘Dog Day’ at the ODU Soccer Complex, so don’t forget your pooch!
Thursday’s game at Towson will stream on the Tiger Sports Network (TSN), while Sunday’s game will stream on C-USA TV.
“I think our group is working hard and is very close and our practices have been intense,” said ODU head coach Angie Hind. “I really like our team this year, I think we have quality and depth. At Towson will be a competitive game, we have to be ready to compete and win the game on Thursday. We are also excited to come back home for Sunday’s match against George Mason.”

Towson is coming off a 4-12-3 season last year, in which they went 1-6-2 in CAA play. The Monarchs defeated the Tigers by a 4-0 score in 2018.
George Mason will arrive in Norfolk after a Thursday night match at East Carolina in Greenville, N.C. The Patriots compiled a 14-6-0 overall record and an 8-2-0 mark in CAA play in 2018. GMU defeated ODU by a 2-1 score in Fairfax last season.
