NORFOLK, Va. - For the first time ever there was football played in Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium as Old Dominion University football practiced for the first time in the new stadium on Monday night.
The Monarchs scrimmaged for nearly two hours under the Lights in the new 22,480 seat stadium,, fit with a brand new scoreboard and new field turf, just to name a few things.

On the first drive, Stone Smartt found Blake Watson for a gain of 30 yards.
Jeremy Meiser notched a tackle for loss.
Smartt ran for a 40 yard touchdown.
Keshawn Wicks rushed for a gain of 20 yards.
Marcus Haynes and Tyre Bibby registered tackles for loss.
Will Brocchini had a pass breakup in the end zone.
James Valle recorded a tackle for loss.
Messiah deWeaver hit AC White for a 10 yard touchdown pass.
R'Tarriun Johnson broke up a pass in the end zone.
Cory Jackson, Carson Ramos and Derek Wilder recorded sacks.
Smartt hit Kesean Strong for a 20 yard gain.
