DALLAS, Texas – Alan Dawson’s men’s soccer team was picked to finish third according to the Conference USA Preseason Poll, which is voted on by the coaches in the league. Midfielder Sebastien Hauret and forward Daniel Corona were named to the All C-USA Preseason Team as announced by the league Tuesday afternoon.
The 2018 Monarchs closed the season with a 11-5-2 overall mark and a 6-2-0 record in conference play. Dawson's squad was ranked as high as No. 20 in the national polls and battled No. 1 UNC to a 1-1 draw at the ODU Soccer Complex.
Hauret scored one goal during the season, which was during the C-USA quarterfinal against New Mexico. He added four assists The redshirt senior earned C-USA Third Team All-Conference honors. During Corona's freshman campaign, he notched three goals and added two assists. Corona was named to the C-USA All-Freshman team and the C-USA Third Team All-Conference.
