NORFOLK, Va. - Loren Brill (Gaithersburg, Md.) of the Old Dominion men’s basketball team was named to the 2018-19 NABC Honors Court, as announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). The NABC Honors Court recognizes men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season.
Brill boasts a 3.9 cumulative GPA as an Economics major. He is a member of SAAC and a two-time honoree of the C-USA Academic Honor Roll, as well as a two-time recipient of the C-USA Academic Medal.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that these student-athletes possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.
In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. The qualifications are as follows:
-Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
-Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2017-18 academic year.
-Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
-Member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.
