NORFOLK, Va. --
Old Dominion hosts the Marshall Thundering Herd for the final home games of 2019 at the Bud Metheny Complex this weekend. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. ET on Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.

A slew of events are on the docket for the final home weekend. The Ralph Guzzo Award will be presented on Friday. A ceremony for the 2019 graduates is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday will serve as Senior Day. In addition, on Sunday, moms will throw first pitches to their sons for Mother's Day.

After beginning Conference USA play 1-9, the Monarchs are rolling as of late and have won five consecutive series. In each of the last two weekends, ODU has won series against two of the leagues top three teams in Florida Atlantic and Louisiana Tech.

ODU is currently seventh in the C-USA standings. The top eight teams qualify for the conference tournament in Biloxi.

Offensively, the Monarchs have 10+ hits in 11 of the last 14 games and hit a scorching .363 against LA Tech last weekend.

Vinnie Pasquantino (.288, 13 HR, 48 RBI), the reigning C-USA Co-Hitter of the Week, has hit 10 home runs since the start of April and his 13 homers are tied for the fourth-most in school history.

Andy Garriola (.324, 8 HR, 47 RBI) and Bryce Windham (.354, 3 HR, 20 RBI) have also been productive at the plate.

On the mound, Tommy Gertner (1-0, 3.28 ERA) is expected to start game one for ODU. The starters for the remaining two games are to be determined.

With one win this weekend, ODU would win 20 games at home for the fourth time in the last seven seasons.
