NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football practiced for the eighth time this spring Friday night and completed its second scrimmage of the spring.
The halfway point of spring practice and the second scrimmage of the spring saw highlights from both the offense and defense.
Highlights
- The defense started strong with tackles for loss from Lawrence Garner and Jordan Young on the first play, and Keion White and Terez Dickerson on the second play. Third down was an incomplete pass to force a three and out.
- Lala Davis secured the first, first down of the day for the offense on a six-yard run.
- Marcus Haynes had the first sack of the night for the defense.
- Jonah Fitzgerald tossed a 25-yard completion to Lala Davis for a first down on third and 20.
- Will Knight set up a touchdown with a 20-yard run. Matt Geiger followed the run with a seven-yard touchdown run.
- Lawrence Garner and O'Shea Jackson notched tackles for loss.
- Davis recorded a 20-yard touchdown run.
- Messiah deWeaver connected with Geiger for a 35-yard completion.
