Johnson Named Big East Attacker of the Week

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Glory Johnson of the Old Dominion women's lacrosse team was named Big East Attacker of the Week as announced by the league Tuesday morning. This is the juniors second weekly honor as she was named Big East Attacker of the Week on February 25. 

En route to the Monarchs first ever win in the Big East, Johnson scored four goals and dished out two assists. She went 1-for-1 in free position shots. She also picked up three draw controls and a ground ball. She finished the season with 53 goals and 60 points, to amass the most points on the Monarch squad and second-most goals in the Big East. 

ODU goalkeeper Haleigh Wurzel was named to the Big East Honor Roll after her strong performance on Saturday making 12 saves. 

To view the entire Big East release, click here. The lacrosse team finished the 2019 season with a 4-13, 1-4 Big East record. Johnson was named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll three other times this season.
