MANHEIM, Pa. - The Old Dominion wrestling team has earned the 25th spot on the list of the top-30 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division I Scholar All-American Teams. ODU has a 3.1939 GPA as a team.
"This is a big deal for our athletes. It’s a credit to academic advisor Kristin Eden and the whole academic support staff and system, said head coach Steve Martin. "We look to continually raise the standard in the classroom as we move forward."
Last year ODU was not a member of the team. Michael McGee was named NWCA Scholar All-American. Four wrestlers were named to the MAC All-Academic Team earlier in April. Two other MAC teams were named to the list in Buffalo and CMU.
