NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion (3-13, 0-4 Big East) lacrosse team welcomes Butler on Saturday, April 27 at 11 a.m. at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex. Eight seniors in Hanna Breslin, Sophia Richie, Alyssa Sebesto, Lauren Irvine, Lauren Ey, Katie Miller, Lyndsey Duty and Haleigh Wurzel will be honored before the game begins.
ODU is looking for their first Big East win on Saturday. Glory Johnson scored three of the Monarchs four goals against No. 24 Georgetown last weekend. Defensively, Haleigh Wurzel has made 140 saves for ODU in goal this season. Senior Alyssa Sebesto has picked up 25 ground balls, seven draw controls and caused 24 turnovers.
About Butler
The Bulldogs are also looking for their first Big East win. Ashley Guerra is their leading goal scorer who currently owns 26 goals this season. Defensively, Amanda Rumsey and Katie McGrath split time in goal. Butler's three wins come to Kent State, St. Bonaventure and Wofford.
This is the first meeting between the two.
