PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The 1V8+ boat of the Old Dominion women's rowing team was named the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Boat of the Week as announced by the league Tuesday afternoon.
Ave McFadden (C), Taylor Phy, Jemima Lockie, Valeriya Demateva, Alexa Williams, Irena Tobola, Maddie Rascoe, Autumn Murley and Madeline Doherty were members of the boat.
This past weekend, ODU competed in the Cherry Hill Invitational, where the 1V8+ boat opened the event with a 7:18.95 time, finishing ahead of Holy Cross. Their fourth place finish in the morning heat landed them into the Petite Finals, where they took a fifth place finish after posting a 7:19.89 time finishing ahead of Fordham.
