WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Old Dominion (3-13, 0-4 Big East) women’s lacrosse team fell to No. 24 Georgetown (9-7, 3-1 Big East) by a 18-4 final score. Glory Johnson led the Monarchs in the scoring efforts on Saturday afternoon with a hat trick.
In the opening half, ODU trailed 11-2. Both Monarchs goals were from Johnson. In the first goal of the day, Lauren Irvine connected with Johnson. Claire Porter found Johnson to notch her fourth assist of the year. Georgetown 11 first-half goals.
In the second 30 minutes of play, Johnson netted one more, while Michelle Hallman scored her first goal of the season.
Johnson now has 49 goals this season.
Defensively, Haleigh Wurzel made nine saves in goal. Katie Miller picked up three draw controls, three groundballs and one caused turnover. Anna Davis also caused a turnover against the Hoyas and picked up two groundballs.
