Spring Football Practice: Day Seven

NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football practiced for the seventh time this spring on Tuesday morning.

Dressed in shorts, shoulder pads and helmets, the two hour practice began with special teams, punt and kickoff, and featured position drills, inside run, 7 on 7 and team drills.

Following practice the players participated in the annual Special Olympics Little Feet Meet at Powhatan Field.

  • Practice Highlights
    Team drills started with first and 10 work, as Jonah Fitzgerald connected with Cornell Hendrick for a 65-yard touchdown. However, on the play Gabe Satterwhite came in on a blitz for a sack.
  • On third and fourth down situations, Messiah deWeaver hit Darrell Brown for a first down.
  • Matt Geiger converted a first down with a 30-yard run.
  • Fitzgerald hit Darius Savedge for a 15-yard first down.
  • In red zone drills, Terez Dickerson broke up a pass.
  • O'Shea Jackson registered a sack.
  • Geiger ran for a 20-yard touchdown.
