NORFOLK, Va.. -- Undefeated in midweek games, Old Dominion will face its tallest task yet in midweek action on Tuesday, when the Monarchs travel to Virginia for a 5 p.m. ET matchup at Davenport Field at Disharoon Park.
Ted Alexander will have the call on 1310 The Power and the game can also be streamed on WatchESPN/ACCN Extra.
Old Dominion has been dominant in midweek games so far this season. ODU is 7-0 and has outscored its opponents, 52-10, in those contests.
The Monarchs are also 5-1 against Power-5 foes, including a sweep of Rutgers and a series win at Kansas State.
Individually, Bryce Windham (.378, 11 RBI, .500 OBP) continues to be scorching-hot at the plate and hit his first career home run, a leadoff inside-the-parker, against Rice on Saturday.
True freshmen Andy Garriola (.313, 4 HR, 23 RBI) and Ryan Teschko (.315, 1 HR, 7 RBI) have emerged as integral parts of the ODU lineup, while Kyle Battle (.305, 2 HR, 19 RBI) is also hitting over .300.
On the mound, Hunter Gregory (2-1, 2.76 ERA) is projected to make his first start of the season.
ODU and UVA have met every year under Chris Finwood. Twice ODU has knocked off a No. 1-ranked Virginia team, including in Charlottesville in 2015.

Virginia is coming off of a tough series loss at NC State. Shortstop Tanner Morris (.355, 4 HR, 22 RBI) leads an offense that is hitting .295 as a club. Blake Bales (1-0, 3.95 ERA) is expected to start on the mound for the Cavaliers. Series History: ODU leads the all-time series, 33-29-2.
