NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football practiced under the lights at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex practice fields for the fifth practice of the spring.
Dressed in shorts, shoulder pads and helmets, the two hour practice began with special teams, punt and kickoff, and featured position drills, inside run, 7 on 7 and team drills.
In the first team red zone session, cornerback Will Brocchini intercepted a pass. Brocchini has made a habit of that in his career, as the junior is a two-time junior college All-American and has 22 interceptions the last two years.
- Messiah deWeaver completed a 30-yard pass to Jake Herslow.
- Shortly after Jonah Fitzgerald hit Herslow for a 20-yarder.
- Harrell Blackmon came up with the second turnover for the defense with an interception.
- Will Knight scored a touchdown from five-yards out.
- Kesean Strong broke through for a 20-yard touchdown.
- Newly moved defensive end, Keion White, recorded a sack and tackle for loss.
- deWeaver found Isaiah Spencer for a 20-yard touchdown pass.
