DENVER, Colo. - The Old Dominion (3-10, 0-1 Big East) lacrosse team was defeated by No. 15 Denver (9-2, 1-0 Big East) on the road 20-1 Saturday afternoon. Glory Johnson scored the Monarchs lone goal off a free position shot.
The Pioneers scored 17 unanswered goals before Johnson netted one with just over 15 minutes to go in the second half.
Isabelle O'Connell made her first start this season in goal. She made five saves. Katie Miller picked up five groundballs, while MK Maloney and Johnson caused two turnovers each on the Pioneers.
