BATON ROUGE, La. - After the opening round of the LSU Tiger Classic, the Old Dominion women's golf team is in a tie for 5th. The Monarchs were led by senior Sana Tufail, who posted a one-over 73.
ODU will be paired with South Alabama and LSU beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
Second best in the field on par 3 scoring, Tufail collected three biridies on Friday. In a tie for 15th, Abigail Portyrata posted a three-over 75. Freshman Jana Melichova posted four biridies on her first round card to finish with a four-over 76. Charlotte De Corte came into the clubhouse with a 77, while freshman Leah Onosato posted an 80.
