NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion baseball team remained perfect in midweek action, completing the sweep of Princeton in dominant fashion, 15-1, on a rainy Wednesday afternoon at the Bud Metheny Complex.
Old Dominion (15-5) is now 6-0 in midweek games this season and have outscored their opponents, 44-8, in those six ballgames.
Tommy Gertner, who carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning, earned the win. He went 6.2 innings, allowing one hit and one walk, while striking out five. In 17 innings pitched this season, Gertner has a 0.53 ERA.
Offensively, all nine ODU starters recorded a hit, as the Monarchs scored a season-high 15 runs, including seven in the first inning.
Vinnie Pasquantino went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs, Matt Schwarz had 4 RBIs and Will Morgan hit a two-run home run, the first of the season for Morgan and the 11th of his career.

Old Dominion has now started 15-5 or better through the first 20 games in three of the last four seasons.
Up next, ODU heads to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, for a big conference series at Southern Miss this weekend.
