JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. - The Old Dominion women's golf team is in fourth place after two rounds on Monday. The Monarchs were led by senior Sana Tufail, who posted back-to-back under par rounds. 

The Monarchs posted an opening round 288 (E) and in the afternoon a 292 (+4). The Monarchs are ahead of five top-50 teams after day one of competition and just nine strokes out of the lead. 

Individually, Tufail went three-under on Monday, which included a 71 and 70, respectively. Freshman Leah Onosato recorded six birides in her second round to finish even through 36 holes. Charlotte De Corte finished the evening two-over after two consecutive 73's. Senior Abigail Portyrata and Jana Melichova finished 36 holes six-over and seven-over respectively. 

Tomorrow, the Monarchs will be paired with the College of Charleston and Long Beach State for a 9 a.m. shotgun. Live scoring will be on golfstat.com.
