NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion women's basketball team dropped its second consecutive game to Charlotte, falling to the 49ers, 60-53, on Saturday at the Ted Constant Center.

One week after falling to the 49ers in Charlotte, Old Dominion (17-9, 8-6) was unable to overcome an off shooting day at home. The Monarchs shot 33 percent from the field and 21 percent from deep, despite having advantages in points in the paint, points off turnovers, fastbreak points and bench scoring.

On the other side, Charlotte shot 43 percent from the field and 39 from deep.

Aziah Hudson scored 11 points to lead ODU and Mariah Adams also finished in double figures with 10 points and three assists.

"We did some things defensively that we thought could give us an advantage. I thought we did a really good job in the first half of executing those things. Then, I thought in the second half we fell short. They beat us to some loose balls that really gave them some momentum." - Coach McCray

Maggie Robinson added eight points, six rebounds and a career-high four assists and Amari Young also finished with eight points to go along with five boards and three steals.

ODU was once again without its leading scorer in Victoria Morris, who missed her fourth straight game with a foot injury.

Up next, the Monarchs remain at home to take on Marshall next Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.
