Old Dominion is coming off a 4-3 win over No. 24 Tennessee in Knoxville on Sunday afternoon. Holly Hutchinson, Nataliia Vlasova, Oleksanda Andrieieva and Alesya Yakubovich recorded wins in singles.
Last week, the Monarchs also downed Conference USA member, Middle Tennessee, by a 6-1 score in Murfreesboro.
ODU is 4-0 so far this season when playing at home. Old Dominion’s only loss of the season came against No. 4 nationally ranked Duke.
Maryland enters Friday afternoon’s match with a 1-3 overall record after suffering losses to Navy (4-3), George Washington (6-1) and VCU (4-0). The Terrapins defeated Georgetown by a 4-3 score.
