DURHAM, N.C. – The Old Dominion women’s tennis (3-1) suffered its first setback of the 2019 spring season against the No. 4 nationally ranked Duke Blue Devils (4-0) on Sunday afternoon by a 4-0 score at the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center, as part of the ITA Kickoff Weekend.
On Saturday of the ITA Kickoff Weekend, the Tennis Monarchs downed Nebraska by a 4-0 score, propelling ODU to a 3-0 start to the season.
Old Dominion will return home to the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center for its next two matches. First, on Wednesday, Jan. 30, ODU will welcome Missouri for a 12:30 p.m. start. The following day, on Thursday, Jan. 31, the Monarchs will host Morgan State for a 12:00 p.m. start. Admission for all is free.
