HARRISONBURG, Va. – Travis Fulgham led five Old Dominion University football players on the 2018 VaSID (Virginia Sports Information Directors Association) All-State Team. Fulgham earned first-team All-State honors, while Jonathan Duhart, Oshane Ximines, Lawrence Garner and Isaiah Harper were named to the second team.
Fulgham, who will play in the Reese’s Senior Bowl on Saturday, led Conference USA with 1,083 receiving yards on 63 catches and nine touchdowns this season. He finished the season with a touchdown in nine-straight games, the longest streak in FBS this season.
Duhart led Conference USA with 74 receptions and added 1,045 yards and nine touchdowns. He had five, 100-yard receiving games on the season.
Ximines, who will join Fulgham in the Senior Bowl, finished fifth in FBS with 12 sacks and tied for 10th with 18.5 tackles for loss. He set ODU single-season records in sacks, forced fumbles with four, while notching career records with 33 sacks, 51.5 tackles for loss and 11 forced fumbles.
Harper caught 55 passes this season for 479-yards and a touchdown, while averaging 21.8-yards per kick return. He returned a punt 74-yards for a touchdown in the win over VMI. Harper was a two-time first-team All-Conference USA kick returner, earning second-team punt returners in 2018. In 2017, Harper was named C-USA Special Teams Player of the Year after finishing 10th in FBS with a 29.1-yard kick return average and three kick return touchdowns.
Garner played in nine games at linebacker, missing three due to injury. Despite the missed games, he recorded 100 tackles and led Conference USA with 11.1 tackles per game.
