NORFOLK, Va. --
 The Old Dominion women's basketball team heads south for a pair of Conference USA contests this weekend. The Monarchs take on LA Tech on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET followed by Southern Miss on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.

Both games will be streamed on CUSA.tv and also aired on the ODU Sports Radio Network on both Famous 1310 AM and 97.3 FM HD-2. Doug Ripley will provide commentary on the radio broadcast.

ODU is coming off of back-to-back banner performances last weekend at The Ted. In lop-sided wins over Florida Atlantic and FIU, the Monarchs averaged 91.0 points per game, including a season-high 95 against FIU. ODU also hit a combined 27 threes in the two wins, including a school-record 14 against FIU.

Through four C-USA games, the Monarchs are averaging 72.5 points, which ranks third in the league. ODU also leads the conference in rebounding (+12.8 margin per game) and three-point shooting (9.0 threes made per game) in league play.

Individually, Victoria Morris leads the team in scoring with 12.6 points per game and has scored 20 points in each of the last two games. Ajah Wayne, with 12.3 points per game, and Taylor Edwards, with 11.6, are also averaging double figures.

The Monarchs are 5-4 away from home this season.

ABOUT LA TECH (9-8, 1-3)
The Lady Techsters have won just one game thus far in conference play, but it came over UAB, the preseason favorite. LA Tech's offense is centered around star guard Kierra Anthony, who is the nation's fourth-leading scorer with 24.2 points per game. However, in C-USA play, LA Tech is scoring just 54.0 points per game, which ranks second-to-last in the league. SERIES HISTORY: LA Tech leads the all-time series, 17-8, but ODU is 3-2 against LT as C-USA opponents.

ABOUT SOUTHERN MISS (8-9, 0-4)
Southern Miss has dropped its first four conference games, all by 10+ points, and is averaging just 50.2 points per game during C-USA play, the lowest mark in the league. Entering the weekend, no players averaging double figures for USM, but Preseason All-C-USA selection and point guard Shonte Hailes is averaging 8.6 points and 4.9 assists. SERIES HISTORY: Southern Miss leads the all-time series, 4-3, but ODU won 74-55 last year in Hattiesburg.
