NORFOLK, Va. – Nataliia Vlasova (Odessa, Ukraine) of the Old Dominion women’s tennis team was named the Conference USA Tennis Athlete of the Month, as announced by league officials on Tuesday afternoon.
Vlasova went a perfect 3-0 in singles, while picking up two ranked wins over No. 82 Chloe Ouellet-Pizer (UNC) 6-2, 6-2 and No. 96 Mia Horvit (South Carolina) 6-4, 2-6, 10-7. She also went 2-1 in doubles, with her only loss coming in a tiebreaker.
Vlasova and the Monarchs wrapped up the fall season in the month of November and will serve up the 2019 spring season on Sunday, Jan. 13 against Temple at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
