NORFOLK, Va. – B.J. Stith (Lawrenceville, Va.) of the Old Dominion men’s basketball team was named the Conference USA Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, as announced by league officials.
Stith led ODU to two key victories over instate and old conference rivals, VCU and JMU, while averaging 24.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 0.5 assists and 0.5 blocks per game.
Against JMU, Stith went for 28 points, eight rebounds, one assist and one steal. He connected on 12-16 (.750) from the floor and 4-5 (.800) from downtown.
Against VCU, the senior team captain finished with 21 points, five rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block. Stith connected on all eight of his free-throw attempts to seal the victory over the Rams.
For the week, he shot 48.6% from the floor, 58.3% from deep and 88.9% from the charity stripe.

Stith and the Monarchs will return to the hardwood on Wednesday, Dec. 5, when Old Dominion welcomes William & Mary to the Ted Constant Convocation Center for a 7:00 p.m. ET tip. Wednesday night’s game will stream on ESPN+.
