HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. - The Old Dominion wrestling team is set to compete at the 56th annual Midlands Championships hosted by Northwestern University on Dec. 29 and 30. ODU will send six student-athletes to the prestigious tournament held at the Sears Centre Arena.
FloWrestling and the Big Ten Network Plus will be streaming the event.
About Midlands
Head coach Steve Martin will be sending six student-athletes to Midlands in Michael McGee, Killian Cardinale, Savion Haywood, Kenan Carter, Kevin Budock and Shane Jones. McGee, Carter and Jones are all coming off third place finishes at the Reno Tournament of Champions. After three bonus point wins and a win by decision, Jones was named MAC Wrestler of the Week on Thursday.
There will be eight nationally-ranked squads competing at the prestigious event. Last season, Larry Early took eighth at the 157 pound weight class.
