NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion women's basketball team hosts Coppin State on Saturday for its final tune-up prior to conference play on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET at the Ted Constant Center.
The game will be streamed on CUSA.tv and aired locally on Famous 1310 AM radio, featuring commentary from Doug Ripley and Susan Montgomery.
ODU is coming off of a 1-1 performance at the Tulane Classic in New Orleans. The Monarchs knocked off host Tulane, 56-48, handing the Green Wave its first home loss of the season, before falling to Saint Mary's, 83-65, in the championship game.
The Monarchs are 2-0 following a loss this season and 3-1 at home. ODU's lone home defeat was a six-point loss to Virginia back on Nov. 18.
Three players are averaging double figures for Old Dominion, led by true freshman Ajah Wayne, who is nearly averaging a double-double with 12.9 points and 9.8 rebounds. Veteran guards Taylor Edwards and Victoria Morris are both averaging 12.6 points per game.
At 8-3, the Monarchs are looking to eclipse their win total from all of last season.
ABOUT COPPIN STATE
The Eagles are winless at 0-11 on the season, but have played five Power-5 opponents, including four ranked teams. Most recently, CSU went 0-2 at FGCU Classic, losing by 25+ to both Florida Gulf Coast and UAB. Junior forward Chance Graham is the team's top offensive threat. Graham is averaging a double-double with 17.4 points and 11.7 rebounds. SERIES HISTORY: ODU leads the all-time series, 1-0.
