RALEIGH, N.C. – The Old Dominion (5-2) women’s basketball team fell to No. 13 NC State (8-0) on the road, 85-56. Old Dominion was led by Maggie Robinson with 17 points.
The Wolfpack went on a 10-0 run in the second quarter and a 13-0 run in the third quarter to extend their lead through the remainder of the game.
ODU tied up the game in the first quarter after going on a 5-0 run At the half, the Monarchs trailed by just 16 points. In the first half, Robinson, Mariah Adams and Taylor Edwards added three pointers to the board.
Redshirt junior Ann Jernigan collected a career-high 12 points against the Wolfpack. Also finishing in double figures was Ajah Wayne with 15 rebounds. Wayne also collected two rebounds.
Victoria Morris and Taylor Edwards notched two assists, respectively. The Monarchs only had 10 turnovers, whereas NC State had 14. Off free throws, ODU added nine from their 23 attempts.
NC State was 10-of-32 from three point range and was led by Grace Hunter with 21 points.
