WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Max Wilschrey and Niko Klosterhalfen were named to the VaSID All-State Second Team as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon.

The two student-athletes combined for 21 goals, 16 assists and 58 points this season. The German natives were both named to the C-USA All-Tournament Team, United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Team and the C-USA First Team All-Conference. 

Wilschrey finished his senior season tied for sixth in the nation for total points (33) after his 13 goals and seven assists. The senior collected six game-winning goals in 2018 and his 33 points this season ties for 10th in the ODU record book. 

This season, Klosterhalfen started all 18 matches and collected eight goals and nine assists. He scored two game-winning goals in 2018. Klosterhalfen finished the season in a tie for 18th in the nation for total assists. The German native was recently named a Google Cloud Academic All-American after earning a 3.88 GPA. Klosterhalfen was also named to the C-USA All-Academic Team.
