NORFOLK, Va. --
For the second consecutive game, the Old Dominion women's basketball team hosts a former CAA rival at the Ted Constant Center. This time, the Monarchs take on VCU on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.

The contest will be streamed on CUSA.tv and aired locally on ESPN 94.1 radio featuring commentary from Doug Ripley and Susan Montgomery.

One of the biggest storylines of the I-64 showdown will be ODU's offense against VCU's defense.

The Monarchs are averaging 74.0 points per game, nearly 20 points more than a season ago, and have scored 80+ in two of the last three games. On the other side, the Rams are holding opponents to 51.8 points per game, which ranks ninth in the nation.

Individually, Victoria Morris, Ajah Wayne and Taylor Edwards are all averaging double figures for the Monarchs.

Morris leads the team with 14.3 points per game, while Wayne is one of just five freshmen in the nation averaging a double-double with 14.1 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Edwards is averaging 11.6 points and 5.5 assists, which leads the team and ranks 44th in the nation.

The Monarchs are 2-1 at home this season and also 2-1 against schools from the Commonwealth of Virginia (wins over Norfolk State & William & Mary; loss to Virginia).

ABOUT VCU
VCU, like ODU's previous opponent William & Mary, has one of the top defenses in the nation. The Rams are holding teams to 51.8 points per game, which ranks ninth in the nation, and 30.6 percent shooting from the field, which ranks third nationally. However, in its last game, VCU suffered a 12-point loss at Cincinnati, a team the Monarchs defeated in overtime back in early November. Offensively, VCU is led by Tera Reed, who is averaging 12.0 points per game.

SERIES HISTORY
ODU leads the all-time series, 58-17. The home team has won each of the last six meetings.
