"I'm really impressed. To come into Campbell, who was one of the top defensive teams in the country last year, I didn't envision us scoring this many points, but we found a way, especially with our defense." - Coach McCray

The Monarchs held Campbell (0-1) to 33 percent shooting from the field and 21 percent from three. ODU also forced 16 Camel turnovers that led to 29 Monarch points.

The 83 points are the most ODU has scored in coach Nikki McCray-Penson's tenure.

Up next, ODU returns home to host Norfolk State on Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET in the home opener.
