> North Texas is also coming off a bye. The previous week they defeated Rice, 41-17. North Texas and ODU have the two wins for C-USA over power-five teams this year. North Texas defeated Arkansas, while ODU defeated Virginia Tech.

> This will be the third time in five years, since ODU joined C-USA, that ODU’s opponent following the bye is also coming off a bye.

> ODU is 5-5 all-time coming out of a bye and 1-3 since joining Conference USA.

>The combined record of the teams ODU has played after the bye is 32-21. ODU played 11-3 WKU in 2016, and 11-3 FAU last season.

> Blake LaRussa completed 26-of-35 passes for 333-yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in the loss to Middle Tennessee.

> Kesean Strong followed his first-career 100-yard rushing game with his second-straight, recording 108-yards on 17 carries. He ripped off a career long 59-yard run. The 59-yard run is the longest run play for ODU this season.

> Travis Fulgham continued his torrid stretch since Blake LaRussa has taken over at QB, catching 10 passes for 215-yards and a touchdown. It was a career-high in receiving yards and the 10 catches tied his career-best. The TD is his sixth-straight game with a score, tying his career-high streak he set in 2016.

> Defensive end Tim Ward had seven tackles and had a sack for the second-straight game.

LaRussa Passing Yards Per Game
Despite throwing for 40-yards in the season-opener at Liberty and 143-yards in game two against FIU, Blake LaRussa is 16th in the FBS with 284.3 passing yards per game.

Since taking over at quarterback in the second series of the Virginia Tech game, LaRussa has averaged 348.5 passing yards per game.

He is second only to Mason Fine of North Texas in passing yards among C-USA quarterbacks.

Messing With Texas
Since his sophomore year of 2015, Jonathan Duhart has enjoyed both playing in, and against schools from Texas.
