NORFOLK, Va. --
The Ted Constant Center will once again transform into a packed house of screaming elementary school kids on Thursday, as the Old Dominion women's basketball team hosts Longwood for the Eighth Annual Education Day Game at 11 a.m. ET.

5,000 students from Norfolk Public Schools will be in attendance. The game will be streamed on CUSA.tv and aired on ESPN 94.1 radio. Doug Ripley will be on the call.

Old Dominion is coming off of a Buccaneer Classic Championship after defeating Jacksonville and Tennessee Tech in the Charleston Southern-hosted tournament last weekend.

Dejah Carter had a breakout performance in Charleston, averaging 16.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in the two games, en route to Tournament MVP honors. Aziah Hudson also landed on the All-Tournament Team, after averaging 15.5 points per game.

For the season, Hudson, Victoria Morris, Ajah Wayne and Taylor Edwards are all averaging double figures for ODU. Morris leads the team at 15.7 per game, while Wayne is nearly averaging a double-double with 15.2 points and 9.7 rebounds.

As a team, the Monarchs are scoring 75.5 points per game, an over 20-point increase from last season, while committing just 12.7 turnovers per game, which is the 20th-best rate in the country.

This will be the first of two Education Day Games hosted by ODU this season. The second will be on Jan. 24 against UTEP.
