IRVING, Texas -- Old Dominion's Ajah Wayne has been named the Conference USA Co-Freshman of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Wayne averaged 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.5 steals, helping ODU go 2-0 in its first week of the season.
The Birmingham, Alabama, native scored a game-high 22 points in the season opener at Campbell and then recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Norfolk State in her home debut.
Through two games, Wayne leads the team in scoring, rebounding, steals and shooting percentage.
