CINCINNATI -- Hometown hero Victoria Morris dropped a season-high 23 points to lead the Old Dominion women's basketball team over Cincinnati in overtime, 76-72, on Monday night at Fifth Third Arena.

Old Dominion is now 3-0 for the first time since 2012-13.

Ajah Wayne scored 24 points and hauled in 16 rebounds, her second consecutive double-double, and Taylor Edwards added 18 points and seven boards.

Despite the big three of Edwards, Morris and Wayne, it was Maggie Robinson who hit the game's biggest shot. The junior, who finished with six points and 11 rebounds, drained a go-ahead corner three with 1:05 remaining in overtime to give the Monarchs a lead that they would not relinquish.

"This win means a lot. This was a hard stretch for our team, but we found a way ... And to see Vikki [Morris] win in front of her hometown was great." - Coach McCray

For the game, ODU outrebounded Cincinnati (2-1) by a margin of 52-33, including a 33-16 advantage after halftime. The Monarchs also took care of the ball in the second half and overtime, committing just four turnovers during that span.

The OT victory is Old Dominion's first road overtime win since 2005. ODU is also now 2-0 in overtime games under Nikki McCray-Penson.

Up next, ODU hosts Virginia on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.
