Achterhof Named to All-Academic First Team

NORFOLK, Va. – Iris Achterhof of the Old Dominion women’s soccer team was named to the 2018 InTouch Credit Union C-USA Women’s All-Academic First Team on Thursday, as announced by league officials.

Achterhof (Groningen, Netherlands) has made Dean’s List every term while in school and has also earned Commissioner’s Honor Roll (3.0 or higher) and the Commissioner’s Medals (3.75 or higher) every year in school as well. She boasts a cumulative GPA of 3.99 as Business Analytics and Finance double major.

Achterhof finished second on team for points with 13. Her seven assists were also second on the team and rank fifth in the C-USA. Those seven assist also ranked as the sixth most in school history for a single season. Her two assists against WKU are tied for the most in a single game among C-USA players this season. She scored a goal against LA Tech, Mt. St. Mary’s and UTSA. Achterhof had an assist against Richmond, Towson, Mt. St. Mary’s, UTEP and North Texas. ODU was 5-0-1 when Achterhof has at least one assist in a match. Achterhof was named to the Third Team in 2016 and 2017 and was named the C-USA Freshman of the Year and garnered Second Team accolades in 2015. This season, she garnered Second Team honors.
