NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s soccer team (5-6-2, 2-3-0 C-USA) will look to win its third straight match, when the Monarchs travel to Boca Raton for a Thursday, Oct. 11th showdown at Florida Atlantic at 7PM. Then on Sunday, Oct. 14, Old Dominion will return home to host UAB at the ODU Soccer Complex for a 1:00 p.m. start. Both matches will stream on C-USA TV.

FAU enters Thursday’s contest with an 8-6-0 overall record and perfect 5-0-0 mark in league play. The Owls have won six in a row and are 6-2 on their home turf for the season.

UAB enters the week 6-5-1 and is 3-2-0 in conference play. The Blazers will first travel to Charlotte for a Thursday night match against the 49ers. UAB is 3-3-1 away from their home.

The Monarchs will wear pink warm-ups before Sunday’s contest in an effort to raise awareness for breast cancer.

ODU is coming off a thrilling 1-0 overtime victory at Middle Tennessee last week. In the 99th minute, Kira Laurento fired a shot that went off the crossbar, only to find teammate Amanda Nhek who cleaned it up for the game-winner. The loss was the first setback at home and in C-USA play for the Blue Raiders.

Leading Scorers for Old Dominion:
Morgan Hall: 10 points (5 goals)
Amanda Nhek: 9 points (4 goals, 1 assist)
Iris Achterhof: 9 points (2 goals, 5 assists)

Old Dominion freshman goalkeeper Jasmine Crawley was named Conference USA Goalkeeper of the Week after pitching two consecutive shutouts last week in 189 minutes of work, tallying a combined 11 saves in the two victories.
