ROCHESTER, Minn. - Old Dominion University wide receiver Jonathan Duhart has been named a nominee for the Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) in association with The Associated Press (AP) and the Fiesta Bowl organization announced on Tuesday.
Duhart has 42 catches for 706 yards and six touchdowns through six games this year. He leads Conference USA and is fourth in FBS in receiving yards and has five-straight 100-yard receiving games. He caught eight passes for 100-yards last week at Florida Atlantic.
In 2017, Duhart suffered a season-ending injury in the second game of the season at UMass.
For his career, he is sixth in ODU history with 151 receptions and is fifth in receiving yards with 2,325, just 13 yards out of fourth.
Ten times during the 2018 college football season, three inspiring student-athletes from all levels of college football who have overcome injury, illness or other challenges will be recognized as Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year Nominees. All nominees are now eligible for the Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year Award, presented at the end of the season. Mayo Clinic, the premier sponsor, will donate $5,000 to the general scholarship funds for the three winners and $2,500 in the name of six other worthy finalists.
