NORFOLK, Va. -- The 25th-ranked Old Dominion field hockey team heads north to Quinnipiac for a Big East matchup on Friday at 2 p.m. ET.
The match will be played at Quinnipiac's brand-new Field Hockey Stadium. A live stream and live stats will both be available.
Last weekend, the Monarchs continued their success on the road, defeating Temple, 9-1, and American, 1-0. ODU is now 8-1 in games played away from Norfolk this season.
Individually, Erin Huffman was named the Big East Offensive Player of the Week this week after recording a total of six points during last weekend's victories. Huffman and Rebecca Birch are both tied for the team lead in goals with nine.
Joining Huffman and Birch with double-digit point totals are Alexandria Brewer, with three goals and team-leading seven assists, and Merle Knobloch, with four goals and four assists.
In the cage, Kealsie Robles is 3-3 with a 2.50 goals against average and Lacey Frazier is 4-1 with a 0.90 GAA. They have combined for three shutouts.
ODU leads the all-time series, 3-1, against Quinnipiac. Last year, the Monarchs won, 3-2, in Norfolk.
ABOUT QUINNIPIAC
The Bobcats come into the game on a five-match losing skid and have allowed 24 goals during that stretch. Quinnipiac's lone Big East win was a 2-1 home win against Georgetown back on Sept. 21. For the season, the Bobcats are scoring 1.62 goals per game and allowing 3.77.
