NEW YORK -- Old Dominion's Erin Huffman has been named the Big East Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.
Huffman scored a goal and added two assists in the 9-1 win over Temple, helping ODU post its highest single-game goal total since 2012. The junior from Pennsylvania then scored the game-winner in the 1-0 win at American.
Huffman now has nine goals on the season, which is tied for the team lead, to go along with five game-winning goals.
She is now fifth different Monarch to pick up a Big East weekly award this season, joining Rebecca Birch (Offensive, Sept. 17) Merle Knobloch (Freshman, Sept. 10), Kristen Vick (Defensive, Sept. 3) and Ilse Westera (Freshman, Sept. 3).
In addition, Marlee McClendon was named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll. McClendon scored her first career goal and added four assists in the victory over Temple.
