GILBERT, Ariz. -- Following a 4-0 start to the season, the Old Dominion field hockey team has moved into the Penn Monto/NFHCA National Coaches Poll at No. 21.
The Monarchs have opened the season with a four-game winning streak, three of which were shutouts, for the first time since 2011. ODU owns wins over Michigan State, Kent State, No. 22 William & Mary and No. 17 James Madison.
ODU has outscored its opponents by a combined total of 10-3.
This weekend, the Monarchs head north for road contests at Richmond and No. 8 Virginia.
